French-Israeli killed in Vietnam motorcycle accident, ZAKA working to retrieve remains for burial

David Ben Lulu, a 23-year-old Israeli-French dual citizen from Jerusalem, died in a motorcycle accident in Vietnam on Friday. ZAKA, an Israeli rescue and recovery organization, announced the death on Sunday and is working to retrieve his remains for burial in Israel. Due to his dual citizenship, the Israeli Foreign Ministry is coordinating with Vietnamese and French authorities. Serge Ben Chaim, commander of ZAKA France, stated, "Since we learned of the case, we have been working non-stop with the French, Vietnamese and Israeli authorities." Ben Lulu's remains are located hundreds of kilometers from Hanoi, complicating the transfer process. Chaim Weingarten, ZAKA's VP of Operations, described it as a "complex case" requiring international cooperation to expedite the procedures.
