Fugitive sex offender who posed as therapist to abuse disabled children caught at Ben Gurion airport
Police say the 50-year-old left Israel shortly before a 2015 complaint and remained wanted for questioning for 11 years; he is suspected of additional sexual offenses against minors in the Haifa and Krayot area
A 50-year-old man, previously convicted of sex offenses against children with cerebral palsy, was arrested at Ben Gurion Airport on Wednesday night. He had been a fugitive for 11 years after leaving Israel. Police described him as “the pedophile caregiver who posed as a physiotherapist” and suspect him of additional sex offenses against children in the Haifa and Krayot area. An investigation began in 2015 into alleged offenses during “treatment” the suspect provided. He was declared wanted after leaving Israel a month before the 2015 complaint and was jailed after questioning upon his return.
