Gal Gadot's $3m. Genesis Prize initiative funds 24 Israeli mental health and trauma care NGOs

Gal Gadot's $1 million Genesis Prize, combined with $2 million in matching funds from the Jewish Funders Network, will support 24 Israeli non-profit organizations providing mental health and trauma care. The $3 million initiative focuses on assisting Israelis recovering from the psychological impact of the October 7, 2023, attacks and subsequent conflicts. Grants will fund treatment, counseling, caregiver training, and social work services across northern, southern, and central Israel, benefiting professionals, frontline workers, children, and survivors.

"After three years of war, loss, and extraordinary hardship, I believe recovery starts from within," Gadot stated, dedicating the funds to "the doctors, nurses, medics, mental health professionals, and caregivers doing the difficult work of helping people recover and rebuild."

The selected organizations were chosen from 150 applicants based on their impact, capacity, and ability to strengthen Israel's mental health and caregiver services.
