Germany tests Israeli ballistic missile

Germany successfully tested an Israeli-built LORA quasi-ballistic missile in the North Atlantic, as reported by Reuters on Wednesday, citing military officials. The LORA (Long-Range Artillery) system, manufactured by Israel Aerospace Industries, was described as a success by Vice Adm. Jan Christian Kaack, chief of the German Navy, who stated, “Our units can successfully deploy the system, and its potential range exceeds anything we have seen before.” This test signifies a new phase in Germany's deterrence and maritime defense readiness, as Berlin currently lacks ballistic systems and is enhancing its high-speed arsenal. The trial highlights expanding Israeli-German defense cooperation, which also includes Germany's deployment of the Israeli-developed Arrow 3 missile-defense system and Israel's acquisition of German-built submarines, such as the INS Drakon, which recently began its voyage to Israel.
