Grateful Dead Gathering brings mini-Woodstock to Arava oasis for three-day festival

The Grateful Dead Gathering will transform Khan Gamalia at Ein Yahav in the Arava into a “mini-Woodstock” for a three-day music festival from September 17-19. For over 15 years, this event has brought together Deadheads and jam band enthusiasts to celebrate the music of the Grateful Dead and their successors. This year’s festival will feature 10 live bands, including The Hardest Daze, an Israeli Grateful Dead tribute band, and The Rusties, a Neil Young tribute. The event also includes finely curated DJ sets, a Kabbalat Shabbat, a communal Shabbat dinner, and a refreshing pool, attracting hundreds of colorful Deadheads, both Israeli and American. Tickets are available for single days or the entire festival, with accommodations for Shabbat-observant attendees.
