Gunman shoots nine in crowded Tucson nightlife district before police shoot him down

Ten people, including a suspect, were wounded in a mass shooting early Sunday morning in a crowded commercial district near downtown Tucson, Arizona. Police officers on routine foot patrol responded to gunfire around 2 a.m. local time, encountered the suspect, and shot him after giving "repeated commands." The suspected gunman was transported to a hospital with life-threatening wounds.
