Hadash condemns Katz's call for IDF investigation into alleged mistreatment of wounded soldiers

The Arab Hadash party condemned Defense Minister Israel Katz's call for an IDF investigation into alleged mistreatment of four wounded soldiers by Arab hospital staff at Rambam Health Care Campus. Rambam itself rejected the claims after an internal investigation. Hadash labeled Katz's actions "a dangerous exploitation of the authority of the state and the military establishment for the purpose of political and racist persecution," asserting they followed a "racist incitement campaign." National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir also called for a Health Ministry probe into potential nationalistic motives among nurses. The brother of one wounded soldier had posted on Instagram, alleging families were barred from seeing soldiers and that staff, all Arabic speakers, left the soldiers alone overnight. Jafar Farah of the Mossawa Center criticized Katz and Ben-Gvir for "trying to make political capital on the backs of the Arab medical teams."
