Hamas official says group will reject Board of Peace disarmament deal if Israel does not approve

A Hamas official informed Reuters on Friday that the group will reject the Board of Peace's disarmament deal if Israel does not approve it. The official stated that the Gaza agreement is a phased process requiring implementation in stages. Hamas will only hand over its weapons to the Palestinian National Committee and International Task Force, which must enter Gaza, if Israel endorses the agreement. The official emphasized that once both sides approve the text, Israel must initiate the first phase, including withdrawing its forces from Gaza.
