Haskel urges Israel to ban Zohran Mamdani from entering country

MK Sharren Haskel has urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, and the Minister of Interior to declare New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani persona non grata and ban him from entering Israel. Haskel, a former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, argues that Mamdani's actions, including calling for the arrest of Israel's Prime Minister and advocating boycotts, undermine Israel's security and embolden antisemitism. She stated, "An individual who uses international platforms to call for the arrest of Israel's elected leaders and actively campaigns to delegitimize the Jewish state should not enjoy the privilege of entering Israel." Haskel's letter requests a review of intelligence on Mamdani, his declaration as persona non grata under Israel's Entry into Israel Law, and the denial of entry and official access.
