Head of Hamas north Gaza police killed in strike; IDF: Several Oct 7 terrorists eliminated

An Israeli airstrike on Saturday killed Brigadier General Abdel-Nasser Al-Maqadma, head of the Hamas-led police force and governor of the northern Gaza Strip, in the Sheikh Radwan area. The IDF stated he was also part of Hamas's military wing. This comes as Israel has killed dozens of Hamas-led police members, accusing many of being armed wing members posing threats. Hamas, however, claims these attacks aim to sow chaos and violate the October ceasefire.

• The IDF also reported killing several Hamas operatives this past week, including Muhannad Asaad Mahmoud Abu Ghazal, a Nukhba Force cell commander who raided Kissufim on October 7, and Raed Hani Mohammed, a surveillance operative.
• Nabhan Mohammed Nabhan al-Amsi, chief of intelligence in Hamas’s Gaza City Brigade, was also killed in a strike.
• Palestinian medics reported other Israeli strikes on Saturday killed a medic in Nuseirat, two people in Khan Younis (one identified by Israel as an Islamic Jihad member), and a high school student, Khaled Al-Breim, in Khan Younis.
• The UN human rights office condemned recent Israeli strikes, with spokesman Thameen Al-Kheetan stating, “Nine months after the announcement of a ceasefire, still, nowhere is safe for Palestinians in Gaza.”
