Highway 4 closed due to haredi protest near Bnei Brak, Israel Police confirm

Highway 4 near Bnei Brak was closed in both directions for approximately five hours on Thursday due to a haredi protest. Police declared the demonstration illegal, with protesters throwing rocks and bottles, injuring at least one officer, and smashing a private vehicle window. Two protesters were arrested. A counter-demonstration by social activist Lee Hoffman Agiv, protesting "exclusion of women and gender segregation," was met with protesters tearing her banner. Additionally, thousands of haredim protested outside Military Prison 10 in Beit Lid over the arrest of a draft dodger.
