Hind Rajab Foundation files war crimes complaint in India against anonymous Israeli traveler
The pro-Palestinian organization claims that the Israeli is a reservist who was involved during his service in the Gaza Strip in the "unlawful destruction of civilian property" in Khan Yunis.
The Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF), a Belgian pro-Palestinian organization, announced it has filed a criminal complaint in India against an anonymous Israeli reservist vacationing there. The HRF alleges the individual was involved in the "unlawful destruction of civilian property" in Khan Yunis, Gaza, during March and April 2024. The complaint asks Indian authorities to investigate the individual for war crimes, crimes against humanity, and acts of genocide, based on satellite imagery, social media videos, and open-source information. Unlike previous complaints, the HRF did not reveal the Israeli's identity, military unit, or location in India. This marks the second complaint filed by the HRF in India in under three months, with the organization monitoring social media posts by IDF soldiers to file complaints against them while they are abroad. According to Natasha Bracke, head of litigation for the HRF, the destruction "was not a byproduct of combat, but a deliberate campaign to erase Palestinian life from the landscape of Gaza."
