An Australian Jewish couple vacationing in Avignon, France, was verbally assaulted and threatened by an Irish man identified as "Paddy" in a supermarket on Tuesday. The incident, captured on video and shared by the Australian Jewish Association (AJA), began when the conversation turned to Israeli politics. The man stated, "I'm sorry Hitler didn't finish the job!" and subsequently threatened to "put a f***ing bullet in your head." The AJA reported that the couple, friends of the organization, have since contacted a French Jewish security group. AJA President Robert Gregory emphasized the need for Jewish travelers in Europe to "exercise caution and remain vigilant" and called for authorities to investigate the antisemitic threat.
