Hotel La Perla: A wonderful way to visit the Dolomites – review
From private mountain trails to a 35,000-bottle wine collection, La Perla offers a blend of Alpine adventure, family tradition and luxury.
Hotel La Perla, located in Corvara in the Dolomites, offers a blend of luxury and tradition, established in 1956 by Ernesto and Anni Costa. Now run by their sons, Michil and Mattias, the hotel is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World and emphasizes Ladin culture, even hosting aperitivos at the family's original home. The hotel features four restaurants, a large wine cellar with 35,000 bottles, and a newly renovated spa. Guests can enjoy guided hikes in the UNESCO World Heritage site, with the hotel providing a hiking guide. "We want our guests to feel at home," said Mathias. The property also offers a "ski-in, ski-out" experience in winter. Food and wine are central to the experience, with many vegetarian and vegan options available. Marianne Jensen, director of sales and marketing, noted, "The Costa family feels passionately about their food and about their wine, and a lot of the experience our guests have is around the table."
