Huckabee disputes Khanna account of Judea and Samaria stop

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has disputed Representative Ro Khanna's account of being detained in Judea and Samaria, stating the U.S. Embassy had no advance notice of Khanna's trip. Huckabee clarified that embassy officials were only contacted after Khanna's vehicle was stopped in a restricted military zone. He stated, "The left-wing activist who set up this stunt says 'The embassy is involved.' That is NOT TRUE." The IDF confirmed the site was a restricted military zone, with orders applying to Israeli nationals extended into 2027. Khanna, who claimed "Israeli settlers, brandishing American made M4s, detained me," has faced accusations of orchestrating a "cheap, anticipated provocation" from Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Yechiel Leiter.
