‘I fought him, then saw I was covered in blood’: West Bank stabbing victim recounts attack

A 19-year-old Israeli, Netanel Yaakobs, was stabbed multiple times in a West Bank attack on Monday at the Ma’oz Yehuda farm near Usarin village. Yaakobs recounted fighting his attacker, stating, “I fought him, chased him with a rock, and then I saw that I was covered in blood and had stab wounds to my head, neck and hand.” He was initially in moderate to serious condition but later stabilized at Beilinson Hospital. Approximately an hour after the attack, IDF troops located the assailant in the nearby village of Qabalan, where he was killed by a company commander after attempting to stab soldiers. Yaakobs’ parents and local officials called for increased security operations and tougher action against villages linked to such attacks.
