IAEA passes resolution reporting Iran to UN for breaching non-proliferation obligations

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors passed a resolution reporting Iran to the UN Security Council for breaching its non-proliferation obligations, marking the first such instance in 20 years. This action follows a previous resolution from June 12 last year, which found Iran in "non-compliance." The resolution, proposed by the US, Britain, France, and Germany, passed with 23 votes in favor, three against (Russia, China, and Niger), and eight abstentions. Iran's mission to the IAEA stated, "Once again, a political resolution on Iran is nonconsensually adopted by the #IAEA BoG," and attributed the situation to "criminal acts of aggression by the US and Israeli regime." The IAEA also expressed "serious proliferation concern" regarding Iran's lack of cooperation on bombed sites and unaccounted enriched uranium stocks, some at 60% purity, enough for 10 nuclear weapons if further enriched.
