IDF announces: Closed military zone in Western Negev starting Sunday morning

The IDF Spokesperson's Unit announced that following a security situational assessment, it has been decided to issue a closed military zone order for the Western Negev region. The order will take effect Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. and will remain in place until Monday at 8:00 a.m..The closure will extend from the Yad Mordechai Junction west of Route 34 to the Sha'ar HaNegev Junction, and from the Sha'ar HaNegev Junction west of Route 232 down to Kerem Shalom. The military emphasized that despite the order, entry to local communities will be permitted for residents and individuals employed in the area.
