IDF bars female reservists from operational driving course despite wartime service

The IDF has barred female reservists from an operational driving course, despite their wartime service. Two days before the training, female reservists were informed their participation was canceled due to a "men only" requirement. One female reservist stated, "When it was convenient to call on women during the war, they knew how to call on us. Now it's no longer convenient for them, and we've become unwanted." Sgt. Maj. (res.) Naama Tzadok, who completed the course due to a "technical error" where she was mistaken for a man, demonstrated women's capability in the role. The IDF confirmed women were integrated during the war but have now returned to a men-only format, citing the course's intention for infantry battalions. They added that individual requests for training would be examined for approval.
