IDF begins strikes in southern Lebanon following drone attack by Hezbollah
During the Hezbollah attack, IDF soldiers opened fire on the drones and downed one of them.
The IDF initiated strikes in southern Lebanon on Sunday morning after Hezbollah launched two drones at Israeli troops in the security zone, one of which was downed. No IDF injuries were reported. Prior to the strikes, IDF Arabic Spokesperson Lt. Col. Ella Waweya issued an evacuation order via X/Twitter to residents of Arab Salim, southern Lebanon. She urged them to evacuate immediately from a building marked on a map and adjacent structures, stating, "You are located near a facility belonging to the terrorist organization Hezbollah, which the IDF will act against." Residents were advised to maintain a distance of at least 300 meters from the targeted building.
