IDF kills Hamas commander who infiltrated Israel during October 7 attacks

The IDF confirmed Saturday that it killed Hamas commander Muhammad Suleiman Byouk in a strike in Khan Yunis on Thursday. Byouk had infiltrated Israel during the October 7 attacks and was subsequently involved in planting explosive devices targeting Israeli soldiers, planning terror attacks, and rehabilitating Hamas. This action was described by the IDF as a “systematic violation of the ceasefire.”

• This follows the killing of Hamas's Rafah Brigade commander, Nael Abu Obeid, on Tuesday in a joint IDF and Shin Bet operation. Abu Obeid, who previously served as deputy commander and led battalions, directed terror attacks against Israeli soldiers.
• Also on Tuesday, the IDF announced the killing of Hamas's Jabaliya Battalion commander, Ahmad Batash, in a northern Gaza strike on Monday. Batash was responsible for logistics and supplying weapons to Hamas terrorists in the region.
