IDF kills terrorist who fatally shot two Israelis, wounded three others in West Bank

Two Israelis, including an IDF officer and a member of Gilad Farm's emergency response squad, were killed, and three others wounded, in a terror shooting near Gilad Farm in the northern West Bank on Friday morning. The incident occurred after a group of Israeli hikers illegally entered Palestinian Authority-controlled territory and were confronted by Palestinians. The IDF located and killed the terrorist responsible for the attack. Conflicting accounts emerged regarding the initial confrontation, with the IDF stating Palestinians initiated rock-throwing before opening fire, while a local Fatah leader claimed Israeli settlers attacked residents first. Following the attack, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz issued five orders, including demolishing the terrorist's home, implementing strong counterterrorism measures in "hotbeds of terror," reinforcing IDF deployment, establishing checkpoints, and accelerating the regulation and establishment of farms. This incident marks the third terror attack in the West Bank within 24 hours.
