The Israeli military also announced the completion of a months-long operation targeting the "terrorist villages" of Bint Jbeil and Ainata.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Wednesday that its soldiers killed three armed Hezbollah terrorists in Southern Lebanon. The IDF stated the terrorists were carrying "combat equipment" and were eliminated "to remove the threat posed to IDF soldiers operating nearby." The military also confirmed the completion of a months-long operation by its 98th and 91st divisions in the "terrorist villages" of Bint Jbeil and Ainata. This operation, which began during "Operation Roaring Lion," involved establishing operational control, destroying over 1,500 Hezbollah sites, and killing more than 500 operatives. Soldiers also seized numerous weapons and uncovered hundreds of Hezbollah sites, including command centers and missile launchers. The IDF reiterated, "The IDF will not allow the Hezbollah terrorist organization to harm Israeli civilians or IDF soldiers and will continue to operate to remove threats."
