The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Israeli Security Agency (Shin Bet) announced the killing of Muhammad Yazouri, commander of Hamas’s Khan Yunis Brigade, in a strike in the southern Gaza Strip on Thursday night. Yazouri, who had served in several senior roles within the brigade, was responsible for directing attacks against Israeli troops and civilians and worked to rebuild the brigade’s capabilities. Also killed in the strike were Hudheifa Muammar, a company commander, and Muhammad Bahjat Rashi, another operative in the Khan Yunis Brigade. In a separate strike, Moamen Jabr al-Sayed Abu Labda, head of a sniper cell in Hamas’s Rafah Brigade, was eliminated for conducting sniper training and attempting to reconstitute Hamas’s capabilities.
