IDF strikes Gaza City mosque, claims it was used for weapons storage

On Tuesday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck the Al-Muttaqin Mosque in Gaza City, claiming it was one of several Hamas weapons depots destroyed this week in the central and northern Gaza Strip. The IDF stated the site was used for weapons storage intended for attacks on Israeli troops and civilians, calling it "another example of terror organizations using civilian infrastructure for terror purposes." While the military did not provide visual evidence, footage showed prior warnings and dozens of Palestinians evacuating the area before the strike. An eyewitness, Shehadeh Badawi, described continuous attacks, while Amir Abu Al-Amrain of the Gaza Strip's Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs condemned the destruction, calling for intervention to protect places of worship.

"Is this a ceasefire? Every day there are attacks, every hour, every breath. There are attacks everywhere."

Separately, nine Indonesian activists from the May Global Sumud Flotilla filed a complaint against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with Indonesia's attorney general, alleging crimes against humanity and piracy at sea. The complaint includes testimony of alleged abuses during their detention by Israeli authorities.
