IMPACT's Digital Defender 102 workshop helps Jews aged 55 and up fight online antisemitism

IMPACT, a nonprofit founded after the October 7 massacre, held its "Digital Defender 102" workshop at Congregation Etz Hayim in Queens, New York, on Thursday. The workshop, led by CEO Aaron Herman, focused on empowering Jewish individuals aged 55 and up to combat online antisemitism and promote Jewish pride using AI and social media. Herman described this demographic as an "underserved yet incredibly motivated part of our community," noting their desire to "find their voices, speak up and take meaningful action." This is the second of three workshops, with the series aiming to equip participants with social media skills and foster community engagement through gamification. IMPACT also offers a "Learn, Lead, Do" program for high school students.
