India's weapons exports to Israel could risk complicity in Gaza genocide: Amnesty

Amnesty International reported on June 30 that India continues to supply arms to Israel, risking complicity in potential genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. The report, "Made in India: The Supply of Weapons and Ammunition to Israel," uses trade data to show how Indian weapons, ammunition, and components are shipped to Israeli companies supplying the military. Amnesty International's Secretary General, Agnes Callamard, stated, "Our research reveals India’s continuing support to the Israeli military and defence sector despite the genocide in Gaza." The investigation analyzed 2,596 shipments since October 7, 2023, identifying government-owned companies like Munitions India and Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Ltd. as suppliers. Historically, India and Israel have strong defense ties, with Israel being a major arms supplier to India, and India ranking third in arms sales to Israel between 2020 and 2025.
