Innoviz launches Perciz to bring it's LiDAR into defense and homeland security

Innoviz Technologies has launched Perciz, a new division focused on adapting its automotive-grade LiDAR sensors for defense and homeland security applications. This move comes amid increasing global demand for counter-unmanned autonomous systems (C-UAS) capable of detecting and tracking drones, a need highlighted by recent conflicts.

• Perciz will offer its LiDAR platforms to government agencies, defense contractors, and security partners for perimeter security, critical infrastructure protection, C-UAS, and border security.
• The division aims to combine LiDAR, machine learning, and real-time perception to enhance security forces' response to threats.
• Innoviz CEO Omer Keilaf stated, "Defense and homeland security organizations are confronting a rapidly evolving environment where threats are becoming increasingly sophisticated, autonomous, and unpredictable."
• Recently, Innoviz partnered with Cogniteam to develop a C-UAS system that uses 3D LiDAR and AI-powered software for more accurate drone detection and reduced false alarms.
