Intercity buses, Israel Railways to be free on election day, Central Elections Committee decides

The Central Elections Committee announced on Thursday that intercity bus lines (over 15 km) and Israel Railways will offer free public transportation on election day, October 27. The free bus service will commence at 8:00 p.m. on the Monday prior to the election and continue until the end of public transportation services on election day. Passengers can board eligible intercity buses without identification or a ticket, while train travelers will receive a designated ticket at stations. Free transportation to Eilat requires advance registration and an eligibility check through Egged information centers.
