Iran claims attacks on Bahrain, Jordan, Strait of Hormuz after latest US strikes

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for attacks on Bahrain, Jordan, and three tankers in the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday. These actions were reportedly in response to recent U.S. strikes on Iran. In Bahrain, the IRGC stated they targeted the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet, causing fires at fuel storage facilities and destroying air defense radar systems. Bahrain's Defence Force confirmed intercepting "a number of treacherous Iranian aerial attacks." Missile strikes on Jordan reportedly targeted "key facilities and positions hosting U.S. forces," with Jordanian military sources confirming the interception of four missiles. No injuries were reported in Bahrain or Jordan. In the Strait of Hormuz, two UAE-linked vessels, the Mombasa and Al Bahiyah, briefly caught fire, resulting in one mariner killed and eight wounded, according to the Emirati Defense Ministry. U.S. President Donald Trump, who ordered additional strikes on Iranian military targets, stated, "We're taking over the strait. They have nothing."
