Iran fears audio recordings could reveal Mojtaba Khamenei’s location, Iranian media claims – report

Iranian authorities are reportedly concerned that intelligence agencies could use audio recordings to track the location of Iran's Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, according to a report by the Tehran Municipality-affiliated daily Al-Mashhari. This concern is cited as the reason for the absence of public audio recordings of Khamenei. Al-Mashhari outlined five methods through which a recording could reveal his location:

• The unique acoustic signature of an enclosed space can provide precise information about the room.
• Electrical grid interference can determine the date, exact time, and specific power grid section connected to the recording site.
• Each microphone and recording device leaves a unique imprint on an audio file.
• Noise from ventilation systems, generators, or cooling equipment at the site could help identify its location.
• The resonance of the speaker's voice could reveal breathing patterns, pauses, physical condition, heart rate, and stress levels.
