Iran Foreign Ministry denies talks with US, says no meetings planned, despite Trump claims – report

However, the Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed continued talks with Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz. Mediators reported progress on a proposal for a temporary new shipping route through the strait, with Iran responding favorably but later demanding the removal of oil sanctions and a guarantee against attack. Regional Arab officials also sought guarantees against Iranian attacks on their territories. Meanwhile, Pakistan offered to host future US-Iran talks. Trump, conversely, asserted that talks with Iran were ongoing and represented "the last chance for them to sign a good document" before potential military action.
