Iran says it has conveyed conditions to re-engage in talks, end war with US

Iran has communicated its conditions to mediators for re-engaging in negotiations to end its conflict with the United States, according to Iran's Security Chief Mohsen Rezaei in an Al Jazeera interview on Saturday. Rezaei stated that Iran's conditions include ending the war on all fronts, unfreezing Iranian funds, and lifting the naval blockade. He added that consultations are ongoing with Qatari and Pakistani mediators, and Tehran awaits a response from US President Donald Trump. Rezaei asserted that accepting these terms is in Washington's best interest, as US threats will not lead to progress, and Iran is prepared for a “decisive war.” He also claimed Iran recently tested an anti-ship missile near a US aircraft carrier and warned of stronger retaliation against US bases if attacks continue. However, an Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson denied that mediation would be discussed during the upcoming visit of Pakistan's interior minister to Tehran, stating the visit would focus solely on Iran-Pakistan relations.
