Iran to receive hundreds of Chinese shoulder-launched missiles systems in weeks

Iran is expected to receive 300-400 Chinese-made shoulder-fired air-defense missile launchers, including QW-12 and FN-16 missiles, within weeks. This $60-70 million deal, facilitated by Hong Kong-based Zhongqing Baoshang International Investment, aims to strengthen Iran's short-range air defenses amid its conflict with the US and Israel. The initial deliveries are planned by air from Urumqi, China, transiting through Pakistan, though Pakistan's military denies involvement, stating, “Speculations of Pakistan being involved in the supply of Air Defense weapons to Iran from China are absolutely concocted and false." China's Foreign Ministry also stated, "The relevant reports are completely groundless." This acquisition highlights Iran's efforts to rearm and deepen military ties with China, despite international sanctions.
