Iran to release footage of Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei in the future – report

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian met with Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei in late July, state media reported, marking a significant interaction as Pezeshkian begins his third year in office. This meeting, which covered military and economic affairs, including resource management and foreign exchange, follows previous conflicting statements from Pezeshkian regarding his access to Khamenei, who has not been seen publicly since succeeding his father in March. Khamenei was reportedly seriously injured in a February 28 strike that killed his predecessor. In an effort to counter speculation about Khamenei's health and public absence, Basij paramilitary deputy Ghasem Ghoraishi announced that footage and documentation of Khamenei in public and with armed forces commanders would be released in the future, stating it would "once again bring disgrace upon the enemies and detractors of the Iranian people."
