Iran unveils 'enemies list,' includes JNS host

Iran has published an "enemies list" targeting individuals and entities deemed hostile to its regime, under a new law enacted in October 2025. The list, provided by the Ministry of Intelligence, includes 44 hostile networks, 61 hostile media persons, and 310 hostile virtual pages. Emily Schrader, host of the JNS podcast "Axis of Truth," is prominently featured at No. 2 on the "hostile media persons" list. Other individuals include exiled dissidents, Israeli analysts, and advocacy figures. Schrader stated, "as a feminist, an Israeli, an American, and a journalist, I am the epitome of everything the Islamic Republic despises and wants to destroy." The law criminalizes contact with those listed, potentially leading to severe penalties, including the death penalty, and is seen as a response to Israel's information operations and the 2025 "Operation Rising Lion" war.
