Iran warns S. Korea that presence in Hormuz would be seen as support for US, have 'consequences'

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baqaei, issued a warning to South Korea on Monday via a post on X/Twitter. Baqaei stated that any South Korean military presence or participation in operations in the Gulf and Strait of Hormuz would be interpreted as support for US "aggression." He added that such actions would lead to "serious consequences." The message, written in Korean, emphasized the long-standing friendly relations between Iran and South Korea, which have developed over 64 years based on mutual respect, and Iran's high regard for this friendship.
