Iran will face a 'crushing blow' if it attacks Israel, Katz warns after security assessment

The meeting included top military and defense officials, such as the IDF Chief of Staff and the Air Force commander, to discuss offensive capabilities, air defenses, intelligence, and civilian preparedness. Western intelligence agencies reportedly assess that Iran might initiate a confrontation, potentially exploiting perceived Israeli reluctance for war and strains in Israeli-American relations. This assessment, however, remains unconfirmed intelligence. Israeli officials have previously voiced similar concerns, with warnings in recent months about potential Iranian missile and drone attacks and the military's readiness for an imminent strike.
