Iranian regime insider threatens Gulf states, Israel if Tehran's energy infrastructure is attacked

Mohammad Marandi, a close associate of the Iranian regime, issued a warning on Saturday that Gulf states and Israel could face severe retaliation if Iran's civilian infrastructure is attacked. He stated, "If attacks are carried out against Iran's civilian infrastructure, the critical infrastructure of these partner regimes, alongside that of the Zionist regime and perhaps Jordan as well, will be destroyed." Concurrently, an Israeli official informed CBS that Israel was unaware of any decision to resume military activity against Iran. The Washington Post reported that US European Command chief Gen. Alexus Grynkewich privately warned the Pentagon about insufficient naval forces to defend Israel against Iranian ballistic missiles, potentially prioritizing US homeland defense. The US Navy is reportedly under strain due to a blockade of Iranian ports. Additionally, the US Embassy updated its travel advisory, recommending that US citizens in Israel consider leaving due to rising tensions, with similar warnings issued by US embassies in Jordan, Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq. Ali Abdollahi, commander of Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters, also warned regional countries against cooperating with the US, stating, "Any country that turns itself into a shield for the criminal and aggressive United States will burn in the fire of war."
