Iran’s far-right accuses Pezeshkian, top diplomats of plotting 'soft coup' in Khamenei's absence

Iran's far-right Paydari Front, also known as the “Super Revolutionaries,” has accused President Masoud Pezeshkian, top diplomat Abbas Araghchi, and chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf of orchestrating a “soft coup” during Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei's public absence since February 28. The hardliners, who believe themselves guardians of the 1979 revolution's values, claim these officials are using Khamenei's unavailability to disobey orders, take power, and diminish the roles of the supreme leader and parliament. Paydari Front member Mahmoud Nabavian urged loyalists to “raise the banner of vengeance for his blood and stand firm against the coup.” Another member, Kamran Ghazanfari, accused Ghalibaf of ignoring “three specific instructions not to enter negotiations over nuclear matters.”
