Israel continues killing Gaza children as 'matter of routine': report

An Israeli newspaper reported that Israel continues to kill children in Gaza as a "matter of routine," with 274 children killed since the October 10 ceasefire, averaging one child per day. Since October 7, 2023, over 21,000 children have been killed, primarily by air strikes, sniper fire, collapsing buildings, or shrapnel. The report also noted that some children died from untreated wounds, hunger, and disease, though these were not included in the main death toll. Gaza faces a severe humanitarian crisis, with 1.7 million people in tents lacking basic amenities, leading to widespread infectious diseases. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, Israel has violated the ceasefire, killing 1,127 Palestinians and wounding 3,643 others since October 10, 2025, and approximately 90% of Gaza's civilian infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed since October 8, 2023.
