Israel elections: Businessman, AM:PM CEO Shirel Hogeg joins Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar party
"Shirel is a symbol of the citizens who rose up after October 7, took responsibility, and decided to act in order to lead Israel toward repair," Eisenkot stated.
Shirel Hogeg, CEO of the AM:PM grocery chain, announced on Monday his decision to join Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar party. Eisenkot praised Hogeg as a "symbol of the citizens who rose up after October 7, took responsibility, and decided to act." Hogeg, a resident of Ofakim, has been a vocal advocate for reform following the October 7 events, stating, "October 7 exposed to all of us the depth of the failure." He will lead a program within Yashar aimed at integrating Israeli excellence and innovation into government to improve decision-making and public service. This follows other recent recruits to the party, including Ramat Gan Deputy Mayor Israel Zari.
