Israel Police arrests suspect who posed as security officer to smuggle Palestinians

Israeli Border Police arrested an Israeli man in his 30s from Beit Hanina for allegedly impersonating a security officer to smuggle 21 Palestinians from Judea and Samaria into Israel. He was apprehended after fleeing a checkpoint, leading to a pursuit and foot chase where 21 Palestinians were found hidden behind a false wall in his van. This arrest follows a recent IDF operation in northern Samaria, where approximately 30 Palestinians were arrested for similar smuggling activities. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich previously urged stricter enforcement against Israelis employing undocumented Palestinians, stating, "Do not employ illegal residents. This is the murder of Jews."
