Israel Police probe alleged catfishing of five women by female suspect

Israel Police arrested a woman in her 20s from Petah Tikva on Sunday, suspected of catfishing five women by impersonating a man. The suspect allegedly maintained romantic and sexual relationships with these women over several years through phone and online communication. Police seized digital devices and will seek to extend her detention and publish her name to find more potential victims. Investigations began on July 26 after four women contacted authorities, leading to the discovery of a fifth alleged victim. One victim stated, "For months we were in a romantic and personal relationship, until I discovered that it was a woman."
