Israel Railways expands ETCS pilot to the north

Israel Railways has begun conducting passenger-free test runs on the Karmiel-Ahihud line using the ETCS control and signaling system, following the launch of the pilot in the Jerusalem area, Modi'in, and along the Ayalon corridor.According to Israel Railways, the system is designed to enable an increase in train frequency using the existing rail infrastructure, while improving safety and the management of train traffic.
