According to the Hezbollah-linked Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar, Israeli officials raised this issue during recent negotiations concerning Lebanese prisoners and detainees held by Israel. The discussions specifically addressed individuals classified by Israel as civilians who posed a threat to IDF troops. Israel reportedly referred to a "significant number of remains buried in Jewish cemeteries in Beirut and Sidon."
