Israel seeks to boost French tourism at Paris trade show

Israel's Ministry of Tourism is actively working to increase French tourism to the country, participating in the IFTM trade show in Paris from September 15-17. Michael Izhakov, the Ministry's Director-General, led the Israeli delegation, meeting with key figures in the French tourism industry, including French Tourism Minister Serge Papin, and representatives from airlines like Air France and EasyJet. France is currently Israel's second-largest source of tourism globally and the largest in Europe, with over 176,000 French tourists visiting in 2025. Izhakov stated, "We are here to strengthen ties with our partners in the industry, expand cooperation and bring French tourists back to Israel." The Israeli pavilion at the trade show features representatives from El Al, the Tel Aviv Municipality, and various Israeli tourism companies.
