Israeli, 90, detained after allegedly hitting Jewish woman with vehicle in Judea

A 90-year-old Israeli man was detained on Friday after allegedly striking a woman with his vehicle at the Tomer Farm outpost in Gush Etzion, Judea. Police reported that the suspect was filming residents, leading to an argument with a teenager whom he lightly struck while driving off. A female resident then confronted him, and he allegedly struck her and dragged her several meters, causing minor injuries. Yesha Council Chairman Yisrael Ganz condemned the incident, stating, "A Jewish woman is hospitalized after being injured by a Jewish left-wing anarchist." Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich attributed blame to opposition leaders, including Yair Golan, accusing them of incitement, while Golan had previously stated his intent to evacuate illegal outposts and farms as part of a two-state vision.
