Israeli army detains at least 48 Palestinians in raids across northern, southern West Bank

Israeli forces detained at least 48 Palestinians on Saturday in raids across the northern and southern West Bank. The Voice of Palestine radio reported over 40 young Palestinian men were arrested in an ongoing raid on Tell, west of Nablus, where a house was converted into a field interrogation center. These operations followed orders from Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz for a “wide-scale military operation” after an attack near the Havat Gilad settlement killed two Israeli soldiers on Friday. Additionally, four Palestinians were reportedly killed in Tell on Friday. Raids also occurred in Jenin, where five Palestinians were detained, and three in the Bethlehem governorate.
