Israeli companies show off battle-proven systems at Farnborough Airshow

The Farnborough International Airshow commenced with Israeli defense companies, including Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, and Elbit Systems, showcasing their advanced military technologies. IAI unveiled ELLYON, a new multi-role aircraft designed for stand-off operations, integrating electronic attack, SIGINT, and ISTAR capabilities. According to IAI vice president Dror Bar, ELLYON "significantly shortens intelligence-cycle closure and expands the freedom of action for forces." Rafael displayed its Iron Beam laser air defense system, Iron Dome, and precision-strike weapons like SPICE 250 and ICE BREAKER. Elbit Systems highlighted its contributions to the British Armed Forces, including synthetic training systems and electronic warfare technologies. Unlike the recent Eurosatory exhibition, Farnborough allowed Israeli companies to present their full range of products without restrictions, reflecting increased global demand for defense technologies due to ongoing conflicts.
